TryCo Apartment Program offers supported independent living opportunities within single, double and three person fully furnished apartments on main streets in Quakertown. With progressive experience living in a TCR Personal Care Facility and/or a thorough assessment of independent living skills and abilities, adults can choose a more independent living arrangement in a TryCo apartment.

TryCo residents experience a level of independence tailored to their abilities and needs. Access to supportive services and staff is available 24 hours a day because of the proximity to Quakertown House. Residents of TryCo apartments have the option to eat meals and participate in activities at Quakertown House.

Assistance with medications is provided by TryCo staff. The TryCo Apartment Program Office provides a setting for the staff to organize regular meetings of the community living in apartments to discuss health, safety and wellness issues. The social worker, as care coordinator, holds meetings with residents, family members and others participating in the resident’s recovery. Group educational and recreational events are scheduled and drop-in visits to the office are encouraged.

One-to-one goal directed companionship, mentoring services, is available. Most TryCo residents attend behavioral health care programs, are engaged in volunteer service or employment at various businesses in the Quakertown community or are enrolled in educational or vocational training experiences.

TryCo staff, with the aid of mentors and the back-up of Quakertown House resources, continue to support each individual’s development of independent living skills, personal responsibility and self determination, wellness and healthy lifestyle choices, social relationships with family and neighbors, employment and educational interests and other recovery goals established by the resident.
